The police do have a lot of authority and so the force can attract Psychopaths. There does need to be a very good filtering process to identify those types and remove them. MPD does not have that right at all.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms issued a full-throated call for citizens to stop "shooting each other up on our streets," after an 8-year-old girl was shot and killed on the Fourth of July near a Wendy's that has become a flashpoint of anti-police Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests in the city.
Authorities said the mother had attempted to drive through illegally placed barricades in the area when the vehicle came under fire Saturday night.
Bottoms said there have been problems with protesters in the area putting up barriers to close off the street. She said she received a message that the barriers were back up less than an hour before she was informed that the 8-year-old girl had died.
She continued: "You shot and killed a baby. And there wasn’t just one shooter; there were at least two shooters. An 8-year-old baby. If you want people to take us seriously, and you don't want us to lose this movement, then we can't lose each other."
"It has to stop," Bottoms added, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. "You can't blame this on police officers. It's about people who shot a baby in a car. We're doing each other more harm than any officer on this force."
Actually it was about BLM gunmen ACTING AS POLICE for their illegal barrier defined zone and shooting an unarmed 8 year old - whilst representing that police should be defunded due to brutality!
Their actions are a classic demonstration of how difficult it is to police human beings and why we should be supporting extra funding for extra training for the police rather than the defunding them.

Slavery was the original form of Social Services. There was no dole office to go to 300 years ago if your crops failed and your entire family was facing death by starvation and you had run out of friends to beg food from. So people sold themselves and their families into slavery in order to keep living. Slavery, when not abused, is privatised workfare, the original form of social services. It is a job wherein your master has to provide you with a roof and clothes and food but has in return an enormous amount of power over all of your life. Of course that power could be and was abused. But the greatest abuse of slavery was the practice of forcing people into slavery by military means as a way of paying your troops presumably. It was the abuses of slavery that caused the problems. Not the institution itself which must have saved millions from starvation. For God does not condemn it once.

Many must have chosen the latter course. Imagine that you were not a very good farmer, and you worked hard all year for half a dozen carrots and some rotten turnips. Imagine further than your neighbour was an excellent farmer and he was eating like a king on working 4 days per week. Would you not seriously consider selling yourself either as a hired labourer or as a slave to your neighbour? Slavery by choice was just the original form of social services. So the white emancipated their slaves and made slavery a criminal offence in the early 1800s. The African nation of Sierra Leone was founded by the UK for emancipated slaves! Whereas the Africans continued it internally after we had banned it.
Finally the entire Jewish race was enslaved by Africans, and God himself had to emancipate them by killing the firstborn of the Egyptians. If the protestors cared about black lives, they would stop taking them and start asking black fathers to care for their own children, rather than advocating the end of the family unit which would deprive even more kids of a loving father..
The number one source of self esteem for a child is the love of his dad. Without that love, one can feel completely worthless. If your own father thinks you are not worth the time of day, then it must be so difficult for the child to believe that he is important or that his black life matters. That is why God law is so clear about widows and orphans.

Just as the child gets his self esteem from his father, so this generation gets its self esteem from the previous ones, from our forefathers. So BLM, not satisfied with advocating the removal of all parents from childcare for the next generation, wants to deprive the present generation of their ancestors, by defiling their history. Dead fathers are just as important as living fathers. Because there is to be a resurrection of the dead, of all of the dead. And they will have some interesting things to say about this morally bankrupt generation which seeks to condemn its forefathers, knowing almost nothing about what they had to go through to produce us, having zero gratitude for the sacrifices they made for their children and having no grasp of the sustainable morality of God needed to make any kind of vaild judgement.
In mitigation of those in BLM who take an anti family and anti ancestor and anti government and anti white culture stance and in mitigation of black fathers who abandon their kids it must be said that the Great Society in the US and Social services in the UK have created a familyphobic environment where millions of low paid women in the UK are turned into flat-prostitutes - the rule being that you get a flat after you have had two fatherless children. But you do not get one if the father stays with his kids. On the one hand it is good that the state looks after widows and orphans. On the other hand it is bad because women make themselves into single parent mothers and men are only too happy to oblige, in order to get a flat. This is why God gave the kids to the father. It was so that he would not abandon them. It was so that he could not abandon them. Women do not abandon their kids. Men do. Hence God gave the kids to the man, in order to keep the entire family together. Human legislation is several steps behind the wisdom of God in this regard. So its a fair cop gov, but society is to blame!
